Radiant Hen is currently accepting submissions.
Criteria:
We will consider both text and images for children's picture books and children's chapter books All submissions must adhere to the following criteria:
- Authors and Artists must be Vermont residents.
- All submissions must connect with agriculture, ecology or Vermont people and places.
Electronic Submissions
Please send manuscripts AND/OR low-resolution photographs of artwork, along with a cover letter to naturese@together.net. Images must be in JPEG format (.jpg or .jpeg), and documents must be in MS Word format (.doc) The subject of the email should read: "Radiant Hen Submission". Please include all relevant contact information, and allow 6 to 8 weeks for response.
Mail-in Submissions
Please send three copies of your typed manuscript. Double-space it if it's a chapter book or longer piece, but shorter pieces or picture book text may be single spaced. Please include a cover letter, all relevant contact information, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) to:
